I am a Garden Designer and Landscape Architect with over 35 years’ experience. My Clients are mainly affluent private individuals with between one and twenty acres of land on the eastern edge of the Cotswolds. I provide my Clients with a highly competent, impartial and independent service.
I have received the highest level of education in landscape architecture and am a Registered Member of the Society of Garden Designers – the only professional body for garden designers in the UK. I have worked with three past Presidents of The Landscape Institute.
My dealings with Clients – and all those I come in touch with through my profession – are undertaken with a high regard for honesty and integrity, and a desire for high quality relationships. The interests of all I work with are important to me. I gain tremendous satisfaction from creating beautiful landscapes and observing them being enjoyed.
The needs of people:
Needs can encompass innumerable matters often unique to a particular job. They may include safety, ease of maintenance, relaxation, or sensory stimulation. Every job is different.
The laws of nature and of building:
A successful project will always take these into account whether planning issues, planting specifications, hard landscape features, choice of contractor, costs, maintenance recommendations and many others.
The desire for beauty:
All designed environments should aim to maximize beauty and mitigate ugliness, to increase the pleasure of those who use them.
I see design as a combined effort. I work with you – the client – to enable you to achieve your own particular requirements against these criteria.
