About the Business

The Friends of Windmill Gardens have launched a big public appeal for money to get Brixton Windmill grinding again by 2016 - its 200th birthday! A fund of £20,000 - to be raised in £5,000 stages - will help us sort out the best way to produce flour without affecting our popular free public open days and school visits at Brixton Windmill.

The Friends of Windmill Gardens were formed in 2003 to raise the profile of Brixton Windmill and campaign for its restoration. Now the mill is working again, we are helping to educate visitors and improve the surrounding park.
