Devon Gardens Trust

Conservation lies at the heart of the Trust's activities. In the current climate the designed landscape is under more pressure than ever. Councils are under financial pressure and the maintenance of public parks, cemeteries, hedges and gardens within public ownership tends to drop down the priority list. Private gardens are sub-divided and sold off to create new building space. One of the roles of the Trust is to advise and support garden owners and Local Authorities on planning and other issues that affect our historic gardens.
